Low Sperm Count/OligoSpermia

Very low spermatozoa or low sperm count or oligospermia, is the primary and major cause of male infertility. However, it takes only one sperm to fertilize an egg, the odds of a single sperm to reach egg are considered to be low if the overall sperm count is less than 20 million per milliliter. For conceiving a child, a male should have at least 60% of the spermatozoa normally shaped and have good motility. The minimum count of 20 million spermatozoa to conceive a child is not as accurate as you might think. Today, there are many men who have fathered children successfully after being diagnosed with oligospermia.

Why do I have a low sperm count? Unfortunately, 90% of the doctors are unable to answer this question, answer for which is still very expensive and is available in only the laboratories where experiments are being conducted by researchers.

However, we admit that these researches have been able to find out the cause of low sperm count for the modern medicine. Oligospermia or low sperm count is basically caused by microdeletion on the Y-chromosome. This proves that low sperm count in men is a genetic disease and has nothing to do with general health, physique and sexual and diet habits of men.
